Top 3 Travel Tips

Travelling can sometimes throw you off track when trying to maintain your health and nutrition goals.

1. Stay Active

Ensure that you are walking throughout the day when you are traveling. This will ensure that your activity levels are high and help you burn off some extra calories. But, walking is good for health anyway. So, make sure you walk a bit extra when you are out.

2. Plan your Days

Planning ahead of your travel will make things super convenient for you. Decide to stay at a place where healthy food options and groceries are nearby. For example, you can look for a place that may be near a gym. Carry non-perishable protein items, such as whey protein, protein bars, etc., to cover your bases.

3. Maintenance Calories & Training

If you are not an athlete or a bodybuilder, chances are you may deviate a bit here and there during a vacation. While that’s fine, you still need to minimize overeating or drinking. The best way to get some decent food in and not ruin your health would be to stick around your maintenance calories, and if you know that you are taking this vacation to relax, plan your deloads around these days and make the most out of it.

With some planning and wise choices, you can enjoy your vacation without worrying too much about losing the progress made in the gym. Sometimes the situations may not be optimal, so you don’t have to give up entirely on your goals. A slight deviation wouldn’t be the end of the world.
