I believe my fitness journey began with a pivotal decision to enroll in a boarding school, driven by my passion for sports and the aspiration to be a part of various teams. The initial foray into weightlifting at the school gym was primarily to build strength and avoid any unwanted confrontations—boarding school life has its quirks. However, it was later on that I truly grasped the profound meaning of fitness.
The turning point was the realization that my beloved grandfather was no longer able to engage in our regular badminton matches due to the effects of aging. This deeply saddened me as a grandson and prompted me to contemplate health and wellness, pondering the path to longevity. I yearned to maintain the ability to live an active and fulfilling life, irrespective of age.
Much like many of you, I too wear the hat of a corporate employee, and it was during my association with Cult.Fit that I was introduced to the world of CrossFit. It didn't take long for the sports enthusiast in me to fall head over heels for it. As I delved deeper into CrossFit classes, I started to recognize the significance of movement, quality sleep, proper nutrition, and the empowering role of a supportive community in our lives, all essential for a happier and more extended existence.
This realisation spurred me to make a significant decision: to pursue my CrossFit certifications. Since then, I've been actively involved with two CrossFit facilities and have explored various other training modalities, both in-person and online, adapting as circumstances evolved during the COVID era.
My journey eventually led me to the wearable tech sector once my tenure at Cult.Fit concluded. Even professionally, I seek alignment with companies that champion a healthier future for our world.
My perspective on fitness is that the ideal regimen is one that seamlessly integrates into our imperfect lives, revolving around work, family, and social circles. It's about making consistent, long-term lifestyle changes and modifications rather than chasing short-lived fads.
